About Betty

Bringing Clarity to Complex Financial Situations

Betty’s approach mirrors her love of tending to plants—steady, observant, and rooted in care. She brings those same qualities to divorce financial analysis, helping clients untangle complex financial histories and giving each piece the clarity and space it needs to stand on its own.

Betty Hedrick has spent more than 30 years helping clients understand complex financial situations. She became a Certified Financial Planner® in 1989 and earned her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® designation in 2003, bringing decades of specialized experience to divorce financial analysis.

Her career began in the fast-paced world of commodity and futures markets, where she developed a strong ability to analyze intricate financial relationships, track details under pressure, and communicate complex information clearly. These skills translate directly to her current work: examining years of intertwined marital finances, documenting the financial picture, and supporting informed decision-making with steady, organized analysis.

A Steady, Methodical Approach

Betty’s work is thorough and practical. She examines financial declarations, traces separate property, evaluates complex assets, and documents lifestyle expenses with care and accuracy. Her analysis provides a grounded foundation for informed decision-making—whether clients are preparing for mediation, exploring settlement options, or reviewing proposed agreements.

She works closely with attorneys when needed and provides clear explanations and well-organized exhibits that support the broader legal strategy. Her goal is always the same: to ensure clients and their legal teams have access to complete, accurate financial information.

Clarity for the Transition Ahead

Divorce is a major transition, and financial stability is an essential part of what comes next. While Betty’s work during the divorce focuses on financial analysis, she also helps clients understand the long-term financial planning implications of the choices in front of them.

Once the divorce is complete, clients who want continued financial planning and investment management support may choose to work with The Capeloto & Hedrick Co. There is no expectation or obligation to do so—the decision belongs entirely to the client.
